Melanie Hamilton is a designer/woodworker in Rothesay, New Brunswick, where she does business as Wooden Leg Studio. Following a fine arts degree from Mount Allison University, where she subsequently taught photography, Melanie enrolled in our Furniture Intensive in 2006 and went on to study furniture design at Sheridan College in Ontario. Her work has received numerous grants, awards, and exhibitions, and has been published in Home and Cabin, East Coast Living, Popular Woodworking and Canadian Woodworking Magazines. In 2019 She was one of three Canadians included in the international exhibit “Making a Seat at the Table: Women Transform Woodworking,” at the Center for Art in Wood in Philadelphia.
