Visiting Artists

The Visiting Artists program brings highly accomplished, professional woodworkers on campus to investigate new directions in their work. Visiting Artists share the Jackson Building with emerging makers in the Fellowship program, for whom they serve as informal mentors. In addition, they catalyze creative interchange on campus through lectures, critiques, and informal interaction with students and instructors.

Visiting Artists are selected by invitation, and inquiries are welcome.

Previous Visiting Artists include: Annie Evelyn (Bakersville, NC), Adrian Ferrazzutti (Guelph, ON), Heidi Earnshaw (Lanark, ON), Peter Fleming (Toronto, ON), David Haig (Nelson, New Zealand), Thomas Hucker (Jersey City, NJ), Beth Ireland (St, Petersburg, FL), Tom Kealy (Somerset, UK), Michael Puryear (Shokan, NY), Chris Pye (Hereford, UK), Jomo Tariku (Springfield, VA), David Upfill-Brown (Gerringong, Australia), and Yuri Kobayashi (Thomaston, ME).

Visiting artists for 2026 will include Bruce Beeken (Bristol, VT), Aled Lewis (Machynlleth, Wales), and Takahiro Yoshino (Yamanashi, Japan).
