Learn to create a free-form, three-legged stool on the lathe! This class is designed for both beginners and experienced turners, introducing spindle work and faceplate turning while offering advanced design opportunities. Participants gain knowledge in lathe safety, tool handling techniques, and layout and design considerations in a supportive environment.

Beth demonstrates the use of her cleverly designed adjustable, angled drill jig, which allows for quick and easy assembly of various styles of legs and seats. Students craft beautiful, functional seating by turning legs and stretchers and creating turned or carved seats on the lathe. The simple methods presented in this course solidify skills and serve as an excellent foundation for students to continue with their woodworking endeavors.
