“Turning Twenty” celebrates the art of woodturning with contributions from more than twenty noted turners from across the U.S. and Canada. The work is as diverse as the artists themselves. It explores the theme of celebration, the number 20, and the personal experience of exhibitors as instructors and students at the Center.
“With the recent opening of our new Whittington Turning Studio and the expansion of the curriculum to include a Twelve-week Turning Intensive, it seems appropriate to mark our 20th anniversary by showcasing the diverse talent and brilliance of the American woodturning community,” commented Peter Korn, the Center’s Executive Director.
Exhibitors in “Turning Twenty” include: John Beaver (California), David Belser (New Hampshire), Christian Burchard (Oregon), Rob Chamberlin (Michigan), Michael Cullen (California), Barbara Dill (Virginia), Harvey Fein (New York), Michael Foster (Vermont), Mark Gardner (North Carolina), Stephen Gleasner (Maine), Chris Hoehle (Colorado), Michael Hosaluk (Saskatchewan), Beth Ireland (Massachusetts), Dale Larsen (Oregon), Bill Luce (Washington), Michael Mocho (New Mexico), Binh Pho (Illinois), Malcolm Ray (Maine), Michael Scarborough (New York), Mark Sfirri (Pennsylvania), Haley Smith (Arizona), and Marjin Wall (Oregon).
