Our Visiting Artists program brings highly accomplished, professional woodworkers on campus to investigate new directions in their work. Visiting Artists share the Jackson Building with emerging makers in the Fellowship program, for whom they serve as informal mentors. In addition, they catalyze creative interchange on campus through lectures, critiques, and informal interaction with students and instructors.
Visiting Artists are selected by invitation, but inquiries are welcome.
Upcoming Visiting Artists in 2019 have yet to be named.
Previous Visiting Artists include: Peter Fleming (Toronto, ON), Tom Hucker (Jersey City, NJ), Beth Ireland (St, Petersburg, FL), Tom Kealy (Somerset, UK), Michael Puryear (Shokan, NY), Chris Pye (Hereford, UK), and David Upfill-Brown (Australia).
