Patrick Kana pop-up

Patrick Kana is a furniture maker and educator based out of Boston, MA. Patrick is currently the Associate Director of Makerspaces and Lecturer for the College of Arts, Media and Design at Northeastern University and owner of Kana Studios. Patrick began apprenticing at age 16 and continued studying under multiple master craftsmen through 2013. Patrick went on to receive his MFA in Furniture Design in 2015 from the School for American Crafts at RIT. He exhibits widely across the US, and is represented by three galleries in New England and New Mexico. In 2021, he was awarded Maker of the Year Finalist by Australian Wood Review Magazine in the World category. With a passion for education and mentorship, he spends his weeks teaching fabrication each semester at Northeastern while creating speculative work in his studio.
