David Upfill-Brown set out in Southern Africa as a sculptor working stone and wood. He graduated from England’s Parnham House furniture program in 1981 and moved to Australia, where he has since taught and created fine furniture over four decades. Significant commissions include the Speaker’s chair at New Parliament House and parliamentary furnishings for several Pacific nations.
